Episode #94 — Why does this US election matter to Canadians? What is at stake? Our politics panel takes a deep dive

For Canadians, this approaching US election will set the course for our relationship with our largest trading partner for the next 4 years. But much more than that, it will set the tone for international relations, the advancement of such crucial issues as global warming and of course, measures to control the current pandemic. Our politics panel — Curve Lake First Nation’s Councilor Sean Conway, businesswoman Jenny Lanciault, journalist & former mayor Sylvia Sutherland and math teacher Tim Etherington — dives into the complexities of the American voting system and explores both the ease and consequences of the voter suppression tactics that could be deployed on November 3rd. This discussion was recorded online on Wednesday, September 16 and it runs for 27 minutes. Please be patient with the quality of our sound; hosts have far less control over the sound of a conversation online as opposed to in a studio. We look forward to getting back into Trent Radio House to record. However, Trent Radio remains closed until further notice.
